black evening bags

Here are some of my black evening-y bags to make your Sunday night slightly less depressing.... aaaarrrggghh, not sure if even these beauties can save you from that Carte Blanche music blues... here's hoping! More to come tomorrow,

thanks for the inspiration

The one blog that I never EVER miss is lucky pony, and in this post she showed the most gorgeous cake which inspired me to bake for my niece Maya's second birthday which is this week on Wednesday. I went a little wild on the e numbers but really loved the effect. I told my friend that I wanted it to look like a carebear vomited inside the cake. I think I got that look! Next time I am going to go for a rainbow. Yay baking!

ingredients for a pretty perfect holiday

Hubby taught me to play chess again, we played outside and broke the cardinal "guy rule" by drinking pink drinks. was fab!

Family (including family pets) must be part of the ideal holiday! Here is the beautiful Moru.

Yesyesyes! Easter eggs and LOADS of other yummy food!

The unbeatable view! *sigh*

Thanks everyone for a lovely break! Hope your holidays were just as fab!

top of the cake pops

I don't know whether you have come across the genius and drool worthiness that is bakerella. This queen of carbs has written a book about cakepops which are balls of cake beautifully presented on lollipop sticks. I must admit that I have not been brave enough, nor had enough time on my hands, to attempt to make any cake pops, but lordy I love seeing the awesomeness that barkerella herself and other bakers have created.

Check these out on etsy. So much in awe!

coming out

OK... confession time. I still read wedding websites more than 6 months after my wedding (which I really am pleased is over and done with). I guess I just love seeing what other people do to make their "special day" their own. I feel like one is encouraged to be creative for one's wedding far more so than on every other day.

So tonight I saw this S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R wedding on offbeat bride. *drool*

Check out the two dresses that the brides wore, which COMBINED cost $63! Love it!
